Recovery after orthopaedic surgery happens in fairly predictable stages. Knowing the general shape of it helps you feel less anxious about each step.
Week 1โ2: rest and gentle, protected movement only โ not strengthening. Week 2โ6: slowly restoring range of motion. From week 6 onward: building strength. The final stage โ often overlooked โ is functional retraining for your actual daily activities.
Skipping stages to "recover faster" is one of the most common causes of setbacks. We guide you through each stage safely, one check-in at a time.
